About Costello Photography

I’m Robert costello, a Virginia-based sports photographer specializing in high school athletics photography throughout the Roanoke Valley and surrounding regions.

My work has been published by VirginiaPreps.com, including credentialed coverage of VHSL championship events. I provide editorial-ready sports photography with fast turnaround, designed to support news articles, digital media, and team coverage.

I regularly work in sideline and press-box environments and understand the needs of media outlets, sports information directors, and event staff. My focus is on capturing peak action, emotional moments, and storytelling images that reflect the intensity of live competition.

I shoot with professional Canon equipment and am available for high school sports photography assignments across Virginia, including football, basketball, volleyball, and other scholastic sports.
